I’ve just hit the mathematical halfway point of this book.

I turned on Cleartype and set my system font to Lucida Sans on my shitty corporate Windows XP work computer yesterday and it’s kind of amazing - I swear that little bit of smoothing makes everything look better, words flow more smoothly, and I think I’m even a little more assertive in my emails and more confident in what I’m working on. Neato.

I think suicide is a really really dumb thing to do, and so when really smart people who are among my favorite writers do it, I just simply don’t understand. At first I was shocked and now I’m just like, “really? suicide? That is so fucking stupid.” Goddammit.
